Haiti - Burkina Faso : Young Haitians and Burkinabè want to build a bridge between the two countries

The Office of the Representative of the Youth Organization for the United Nations of Africa in Haiti (BOJNUAH), informs that within the framework of a recent official visit to Burkina Faso (West Africa), a Haitian delegation accompanied by African members of the Bureau was received with all the honors in the capital Ouagadougou, by several authorities from Burkina and civil society.

At the Presidential Palace, these young Haitian leaders had fruitful discussions with El Hadj Seydou Zagre, the Director of Cabinet of President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, who focused, among other things, on the Youth Organization for the United Nations of Africa-OJNUA of which Haiti is a founding member through its project "72 hours of African youth unity", which will be held from April 10 to 12, 2020 in Ouagadougou and whose objective is to work for social cohesion and Peace sustainable in this sub-region of the African continent.

At the same time, the strengthening of diplomatic ties was addressed, because 3 years after the accreditation in Haiti of Marc Somda, the Ambassador of Burkina Faso (November 2017), Haiti still does not have a diplomatic mission in Burkina, a country that offers enormous opportunities which could allow the two States to develop and strengthen their bilateral relations for the benefit of the two peoples.

It should be noted that this is the second time in 60 years in the history of Faso, that a Haitian delegation has exchanged with political, religious, civil society authorities and young Burkinabés who are very involved and influential, among others : Salifou Tiemtoré, the Minister of Youth and Promotion of Youth Entrepreneurship, Simeon Sawadogo, the Minister of State of Burkina Faso, Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Social Cohesion, the diplomat and businessman Burkinabé affairs with residence in Dubai, Paul Robert Tiendrebeogo, Juliette Kongo Youth Coach of the Youth Government of Burkina Faso and Advisor to the President, prophet Élisée Bassolé, Tabernacle of the Virgin Sages of the Evangelical Mission for the preparation of the Saints for Eternity and the Revival of the Nations, Ibrahim Roumba Chargé de mission of the President of the Republic of Faso and Dr Ablassé Ouedraogo, Economist and President of the political party "Le Faso autrement".
