Covid-19 Epidemic : Global Report March 9, 2020
Monday March 9, 2020, the number of people who have been infected worldwide by the Coronavirus Covid-19 since the beginning of the epidemic stands at 110,276 (laboratory confirmed cases, from official source), up from 3,901 cases per report the day before, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30217-haiti-news-zapping.html (including only 40 more cases in China and 4 less than the day before). 62,095 people have been cured of Covid-19 (56.3%) since the start of the epidemic, 2,082 more than the day before. As of March 9, the number of infected people receiving care (active cases) worldwide was 48,181 (+3.9%) compared to the previous day. Since the start of the epidemic, 3,840 people have died from Covid-19 (+6.84%), i.e. 246 more than the day before (3,594) for an average fatality rate of 3.48% (+0.2%) compared to the day before ( 3.28%).

To date, there are 29,541 confirmed cases outside China (+15.04%), or 3,861 cases more than the previous day, in a total of 106 countries (+3 countries compared to the previous day). Note that South Korea, Iran and Italy alone account for 21,419 cases (72.51% of all cases outside of China) and that 52 countries affected by Covid-19 have fewer than 10 cases.

705 deaths outside of China have been reported as of March 9 since the start of the epidemic, 76 more than the day before: 366 in Italy, 194 in Iran, 53 in South Korea, 1 in Taiwan, 1 in the Philippines, 3 in Hong Kong, 1 in Saint-Martin, 17 in Japan, 19 in France, 17 in Spain, 4 in Australia. 1 Thailand, 6 in Iraq, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in Argentina, 3 in the United Kingdom, 3 in the Netherlands, 1 in Egypt and 22 in the USA (564 confirmed cases +30.2% compared to the previous day). Note that Italy, Iran and South Korea account for 86.9% of all deaths outside of China.
