Haiti - Health : Origin of the first 2 cases of Covid-19 in Haiti 21/03/2020 09:50:02
Following the confirmation Thursday of 2 cases of Covid-19 in Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30310-haiti-flash-2-cases-of-covid-19-confirmed-in-the-country.html , Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health said Friday during a press briefing, that the first case is a Haitian (31 years old) who stayed in France and who was detected on March 15 on his arrival and placed in quarantine (coming from a red zone) with no apparent symptoms.
The second is of Belgian origin (63 years old) who entered Haiti on March 10 after having passed through Madrid and Miami (2 red area). He started showing symptoms of Covid-19 on March 13 and was quarantined.
Minister Clément indicated that their state of health was stable and that research concerning all the people who were in contact with these two cases is in progress. Some people have already been identified and quarantined and others are wanted in the provinces.
