Haiti - Politic : Crusade of Minister of Youth against the Covid-19 05/04/2020 10:33:21
For Minister Attys "the fight against the Coronavirus requires national cohesion and must benefit from the commitment of all partners and actors in the sector." The Ministry's project against Covid-19 includes in particular awareness raising on social networks and the mobilization of Multiplier Agents of Change; of the Civic Action Brigade; local youth committees; Youth and sport associations in the communes and communal sections of the country. According to this project, brigades composed of different youth organizations will be deployed throughout the territory to educate the populations of the most remote areas on the measures to be taken, the behaviors to adopt in order to fight the pandemic in Haiti. "Each Departmental Director must fulfill his role to get the message across," said Minister Attys, stressing the need to act now, without further delay against the Coronavirus. The method to be used for citizen engagement with young people, frank collaboration with other entities, the use of megaphones, awareness-raising to be reinforced in municipal sections and public squares, the diversification of strategies according to the reality of each department, the protective equipment for workers... are all proposals proposed and discussed by the departmental directors called to participate in the development of the final document...
