False fuel scarcity

Jonas Coffy, the Minister of Trade and Industry takes note of the information "suggesting a supposed rarity of gasoline on the market". This situation has given rise to illegal speculation (black market). "Under the Law of December 20, 1946, the Ministry has already taken all legal measures to put an end to this state of affairs". Publication of 3 decrees

In the official newspaper "Le Moniteur Special" #9, 3 decrees were published:

- Decree on the Unique National Identification Number (NINU);

- Decree fixing the number of Ministries at 18;

- Decree amending certain provisions of the decree of 6 July 1989 on transfer houses.

Several popular pharmacies destroyed by fire

Several small popular pharmacies near the General Hospital at St Honoré and Monseigneur Guilloux streets were destroyed in a fire overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. A short circuit could be the cause of the incident.

UDMO : Prime Minister's promise

"I visited the agents of the Departmental Unit of Maintenance of the Order (UDMO) to listen to their grievances, in particular in rolling stock, in protective equipment and the regularization of the date of payment of wages. I undertake to examine these problems without delay in order to provide the necessary answers. I stand behind the cause of the police and their problems are mine. On the instructions of the President, the Government ordered an inventory and an audit which must cover the 25 years of the PNH. We are more than determined to improve the situation of the PNH. Paralyzed judicial system

Since June 2, 2020, the 183 Peace Courts of the 18 judicial jurisdictions of the country are closed. Faced with a lack of reaction and dialogue from the Executive, the magistrates hardened their tone and launched an indefinite strike call. The Union of Registrars and associations of Magistrates demand among others : a reasonable operating budget for the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ), the automatic renewal of the mandate of magistrates who have benefited from a favorable opinion of the CSPJ and better conditions for the judiciary in all 18 jurisdictions.

Reform of the Constitution, Moïse seeks support

President Jovenel Moïse has already received support from the United Nations Integrated Office for Haiti (UNINH) for the reform of the Constitution. Now, the President wishes to obtain the support of other personalities and sectors of the Civil society for the formation of a Constituent Assembly before the organization of the elections.
