On the sidelines of the launching ceremony of the week for children, the President Martelly had declared Monday that "The Presidency will convene the [members of the] CEP [...] if they do not show up, then we will be able say clearly the position that we will take..." Convened by the President, the same day, only 3 members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) responded to this presidential convocation... They are Jean Thélève Pierre-Toussaint, Vice-President of the electoral institution and 2 advisors Laurette Croyance and Ribel Pierre.

Following the meeting with President Martelly, the Advisor Laurette Croyance, representative of the Episcopal Church, declined to comment on the content of the interview nor comment on the reasons of the absence of other members of the CEP "All I can say is that they are not available."

According to rumors, Gaillot Dorsinvil, the President of the Electoral Council charged of electoral fraud and corruption, would have fled to the Dominican Republic thanks to the complicity of Senator Moïse Jean Charles (INITE) This alleged complicity was refuted by the senator on a radio of the capitale which has denied any role in the alleged departure of Gaillot Dorsinvil "Never, I would have acted on this manner in favor of someone on which an investigation is conducted [...] I heard the rumors like everyone else. I can not confirm it. But if that's the case, it is quite regrettable."

As to the other advisors absent, they would be in North America according to various sources. However, none of the advisors had confirmed this supposed presence abroad...
