Haiti - Justice : Minisitre Délille freezes the release of the pardoned prisoners and takes sanctions 03/07/2020 10:40:10 On Wednesday July 1st, during a Government Council, Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe asked Lucmane Délille, the Minister of Justice to freeze the application of the presidential pardon which provoked strong reactions and disputes. Minister Délille singled out in what promises to be another scandal, says it will be intractable against all those who, according to him, are involved in these liberations and have pressed for the list to be given to the President without being completely purified. While the legal affairs of the Ministry have already taken over this case, the Minister already took action on Wednesday by putting two Government Commissioners on availability without pay for having been involved in the release of detainees who are not eligible... Availability of the Government Commissioner of the Croix-des-Bouquets : "Magistrate Maxim Augustin Government Commissioner At the Croix-des-Bouquets Court of First Instance. [...] This is to inform you that it has been decided to put you on availability without pay, for your implication in the irregular release of the condemned Richard Harrison Domond dit Jean Mary. This measure is effective as of the date hereof." Availability of the Jérémie Government Commissioner : "Magistrate Bergemane Sylvain Government Commissioner to the Court of First Instance of Jérémie [...] This is to inform you that it has been decided to put you on availability without pay, for your involvement in the irregular release of convicts Marie Claudette Presume, Awilhomme Milfranc, Rémy Sejour and Marie Hélène Dimanche.
