In the Official Journal Le Moniteur #112 dated July 6, a decree names the former Secretary of State for Planning Michel Presumé as the new Director General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH). He replaces engineer Hervé Pierre-Louis.

Arrest and Marijuana seizure
On the night of Monday July 6 to Tuesday July 7 in Fort Liberté (Dept. Northeast), Aladin Osval was arrested on national road #6, by Border Police Officers as he was heading towards Ouanaminthe. Charged with drug trafficking, he had in his possession a large quantity of marijuana. The individual was handed over to the Northern Drug Trafficking Brigade (BLTS) as well as the narcotics for legal proceedings.
Grand’Anse : New community restaurant
The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) announces that it will soon open a new community restaurant in "Tibelon", a communal section of Ravine-à-Charles located in the department of Grand’Anse.
