This Thursday will take place a press conference of the Executive Council of the State University of Haiti (UEH) around the work report of the Jury for the compilation and evaluation of traditional remedies used against Covid-19 in Haiti. Let's recall that this jury which had, among other tasks, to issue a scientific and ethical opinion on the formulas and recipes used or implemented and to specify the properties and possible side effects of the plants used in the composition of these recipes and to make recommendations, was set up on June 4 by the Executive Council of the UEH.
Reopening of schools : health protocol
According to the health protocol relating to the operation of schools scheduled to resume operations on August 10, schools admitted to reopen their doors should be subject to prior and systematic cleaning with chlorinated water. The number of students per class should not exceed 25 to 30 and the distance of at least 1.50 m must be respected frontally and laterally
Diaspora and FNE
On Wednesday an information meeting was held between Joseph Frantz Nicholas, Director General of the National Education Fund (FNE) and Edner Gonzague Day, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad following many questions from the diaspora which have reached him relating to the management of these important educational funds. At the end of this meeting, the two men promised to concert their efforts to better keep the diaspora informed of the use of these levies. UN calls for justice for victims of "Toto Constant"
Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, said on Wednesday that the former Haitian paramilitary leader of the "death squad" Emmanuel "Toto" Constant who was expelled from the United States last month hhttps://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31107-haiti-flash-former-frap-chief-deported-by-the-usa-arrested-upon-his-arrival-in-port-au-prince.html , had to respond to Haitian justice for the terrible human rights violations committed during the 1990s.

Jacmel celebrates its 322 years of foundation
On July 28, 2020, as part of the 322nd anniversary of the founding of the city of Jacmel, Loudie Cesar the Mayor of the municipality in the presence of dozens of guests kicked off 6 days of activities. Conferences, shows, excursions, exhibitions and screenings are on the program of activities. The first day was a total success and ended with a popular show mixing dance and music in the tourist port of Jacmel.
