Haiti - Education : Inauguration of the mixed school presbyteral Sacré-Coeur of Pont-Sondé
The President Michel Martelly, participated Tuesday to the inauguration of the mixed school presbyteral Sacré-Coeur of Pont-Sondé, headed by Father Michel Serault. This school has six classrooms with a capacity of 240 pupils, was built thanks to funding from the Digicel Foundation.

The ceremony was attended by Charles Bonard, the Mayor of Saint-Marc, Marteen Boute, CEO of Digicel Haiti and Josefa Gauthier, President of the Digicel Foundation.

The Head of State recalled that education is an indispensable pillar of his policy aiming to lead the country on the path of development and social justice. "I project as an example, the Digicel which is a model of availability towards the community".

The presence of the President alongside the Digicel, shows his personal appreciation, to which he joined the expression of gratitude of the Republic as a whole. This is the kind of leadership that the President intends to promote throughout his mandate.

The President, who had promised to the Haitian people to give the example of a Head of State servant, took the opportunity to visit the site of a Modern school center to Saint-Marc. This initiative is the work of the organization "Hand in Hand for Haiti," that the Head of State, has clearly encouraged. The first phase of this project will be executed in August.

The President reaffirmed his commitment to provide a better tomorrow to the Haitian children, by strengthening the educational system and has promised to continue to mobilize the available resources to meet his promises.
