Haiti - Justice : Accused by the OPC, the PNH «exposes» its version of the death of policeman Glesil
Following the OPC's accusations, on October 18, of false explanations by Commissioner Michel-Ange Louis Jeune, spokesperson for the Haitian National Police (PNH) on the incident at the "Révélation" hotel (Delmas 35) which cost the life of a policeman https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32076-haiti-justice-the-opc-accuses-the-spokesperson-of-the-pnh-of-false-statements.html , Rameau Normil, Director General ai of the PNH, in a memo dated the day after the OPC accusations, exposes "between the lines" why the police officer Jean Rosner Glesil, an agent of the General Security Unit of the National Palace (USGPN), unfortunately died, killed by his colleagues during a police operation.

While qualifying as regrettable" what happened, Normil reminds all police officers that "in all circumstances they must observe the basic rules learned at the school and at the national police academy for their protection and that of others. And consequently, out of service, in other words in civilian clothes, they must obey the orders of the police officers on duty, especially during operations where any sudden gesture is likely to cause reactions no less regrettable."

Rameau Normil while asking law enforcement officers to be cooperative in similar situations "urges the police officers to pull themselves together, to redouble their vigilance and to show discipline, professionalism to guarantee the protection and safety of the Haitian population."

In summary, the General Directorae maintains the version that the police officer Jean Rosner Glesil, would not have "obeyed the injunctions", to the police officers in operation that day...

As for knowing in detail what exactly happened that day, the investigation is continuing...
