Haiti - Elections : The results published in «Le Moniteur», sow the discord
After weeks of uncertainty, the President Michel Martelly has finally promulgated, the last weekend in the official newspaper "Le Moniteur" the names of 13 Deputies and two Senators unable to sit, for more than one month and proclaimed winners of the controversial legislative election of March 2010, by the Special National Complaints and Challenges Bureau (BCEN).

Several unsuccessful candidates belonging mostly to the platform INITE have Monday to the Lower House, last instance in electoral matters, to not validate the power of their former competitors proclaimed winners after the decisions of the Special BCEN.

These candidates believe they have been victims of injustice, recalling the unconstitutional nature of the special BCEN which according to them, had no power to change the results previously published. They intend to challenge before the Haitian courts what they describe as the "results of the shame", stressing that the decision of the President Martelly has been taken "to satisfy the desires of a part of the international community, including the United States."

The former Deputy Laurore Edouard denounces the Head of State, for non-compliance with his words, recalling that the President Martelly had said that he would not publish the results of the special BCEN because the signatures on the bottom of the document, were not originals, but scanned.
