Haiti - Politic : The President Martelly to New York for an official visit

The President Michel Martelly in official tour in Florida this Saturday as part of the "Diaspora Appreciation Week-End", which aims to recognize and strengthen the involvement of the Diaspora in the development effort of the country, will travel tomorrow to New York. This dynamic partnership with the Diaspora, is very important for the Head of State of Haiti, who works tirelessly to create a common front between all sectors and all entities to withdraw Haiti from its misery.

Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm the President will attend a lunch fundraiser, organized by the Consulate General of Haiti in New York and the Friends of Haiti, under the theme "Haiti Means Business" to the benefit of the education program of the presidency. The event will take place at the New York University Kimmel Center [60 Washington Square South New York, NY 10012] the contribution is of $200 per guest. Then the President Martelly, within the framework of the Haitian Diaspora Day will visit the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, near the United Nations [East 47th Street & 1st Avenue, NY, NY 10017] for a public rally with the haitian Disapora, free admission.
