As part of Environment Fridays, Abner Septembre, the Minister of the Environment presented a first assessment of the national reforestation campaign "Nou pral plant dlo".

The opportunity for Minister Septembre to develop the vision underlying the national campaign "nou pral plant dlo" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32142-haiti-environment-nou-pral-plante-dlo-attacking-deforestration.html before announcing that since the launch of this campaign, last August 15 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31554-icihaiti-environment-launch-of-the-nou-pral-plante-dlo-program.html , more than 100,000 fruit and forest seedlings have already been planted, including 20,000 in Vallue (12th communal section of Petit-Goâve) and in other communal sections of the country.

"The Environment is an important pillar for our well-being. Whether on the health, economic or other level, it plays a preponderant role in human life and the Ministry encourages all initiatives aimed at investing in and protecting it," said Minister Septembre.

This reforestation campaign explained the Minister, "is part of an approach where three axes are predominant: economically green mountain, road village by communal intersection and healthy ecological town and coast. It is a new approach which is proving to be inclusive, participatory and systemic, and which must be spread over 15 years if the country is to be greened again."

Concluding "The environment is a priority for the State and everyone must adopt an eco-citizen behavior to not only restore our environmental ecosystem but also to meet the new climatic challenges."
