Theft of the instruments of the Tropicana Orchestra
During the night of December 11 to December 12, unidentified individuals broke into the "Tropicana Nigh-Club" in Cap-Haitien and stole the instruments of the Tropicana Orchestra of Haiti. "We ask everyone across the country not to buy used instruments without identification paper. We certainly intend to recover our instruments by legal means" writes the Group on its Facebook page, which asks anyone who receives offers to purchase used instruments to contact the Group at the numbers : 3722-0255 / 3149- 7814 / 3718-5858

Increase in Covid cases

3 new solar pumps inaugurated
Sunday, December 13, 2020, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) accredited to Haiti, Wen-Jianm Ku, inaugurated 3 solar pumping systems in the North-East (Caracol, Phaéton and Ferrier). Each of these 2000 gallon / minute pumping systems capable of watering 500 ha of land is powered by 47kw of photovoltaic power (126 solar panels of 370 watts). Note that 13 other solar pumps have already been installed by the Ministry of the Environment.

Electricity : Moïse à Saint-Marc
On Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse visited the site of the new installations of the Saint-Marc power plant in order to follow up on the progress of the work aimed at providing 24-hour electricity to the inhabitants of Bas Artibonite.

New premises for the Agricultural Technical School of Limonade
With new buildings inaugurated by the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) Wen-Jiann Ku as part of the Haitian-Taiwanese cooperation, the École Technique Agricole et Professionnel Suzanne Simone Baptiste Louverture de Limonade will be able to provide a better framework for training students who will contribute to the renewal of agriculture in Haiti.

The PM heard the revendications of the population
"I would like to reassure the population that my government has taken note of their just revendications during the human rights day demonstrations, and will work more to improve the security climate in the country," said Prime Minister Jospeh Jouthe.
