Haiti - Politic : The Saga of the Prime Minister continues...
The President Martelly has not yet unveiled the name of the next Prime Minister. Before leaving the country, yesterday Thursday for the summit of CARICOM, the Head of State has declared that his decision will depend of the outcome of the negotiations between the presidential commission and the various political forces... Negotiations which are the subject of speculation, rumors, accusations, taking of position, that continue to fuel a debate often passionate, about the 3 potential candidates, [but unofficial] for the position of prime minister.

Me Bernard Gousse faces the disapproval of some parliamentarians :
For Senator Evallière Beauplan, Me Gousse, former Minister of Justice, under the government-Alexandre Latortue, has very few chance of being selected. Several members of the Parliamentary Group of the Renewal (GPR), for the most in the Lavalas line, have already promised to reject the possible appointment of Me Gousse, alleging "some abusive arrests and violations of human rights" during his passage at the head of the Ministry of Justice, at the fall of Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2004.

Jean Max Bellerive on the rise among parliamentarians :
The Senator Evallière Beauplan, argues that the prime minister resigned, Jean Max Bellerive, would have the support of many parliamentarians, despite the criticism of his submission to the former Head of State... Parliamentarians do not hesitate to praise the competence of the head of the outgoing government. Some parliamentarians of the GPR noted that Mr. Bellerive will not even have to submit to Parliament his documents, since it already meets the constitutional prescription. He will need only... the discharge of his management [HL which is far from certain...] especially since the former Prime Minister, must appear this Friday, before the Senate Committee on Justice and corruption. Where he will have to respond of the management of funds Petrocaribe and of the accomplishments of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission (IHRC) whose he was co-president.

The notary Jean Henry Céant fails to convince :
The Senator Beauplan believes that Jean Henry Céant [Renmen Ayiti], unsuccessful candidate for president, will have difficulty to prevail because of attacks and accusations he made during his campaign against René Préval and the platform INITE, today the first political force in both chambers.

In addition, it is necessary to add to the liabilities of Mr. Céant, the joint complaint filed with Yves Cristalin, to the Correctional Court where Me Newton Saint Juste [their lawyer] claimed on May 3, damages of 250 million gourdes... for violation of political rights of its clients... https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-2743-haiti-justice-jean-henry-ceant-and-yves-cristalin-are-claiming-250-million-gourds.html "How can he become Prime Minister of a President whom he had indirectly challenged the election in the second round ?" ask parliamentarians opposed to his appointment.
