In a correspondence sent on February 3 to Guylande Mesadieu, President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) Me Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph Director General of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) asks her to kindly insert in the draft Decree electoral process in gestation, as a condition of admissibility for all candidates in the next elections who have been subject to the declaration of assets file "[...] a certificate issued by the ULCC attesting that the candidate previously subject to the formality of declaration of assets of entry and exit of function, had duly complied with it."

Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph reminded the CEP that the asset declaration law aims to combat illicit enrichment and to contribute to the moralization of public life.

Concluding "[...] the unequivocal collaboration of the Provisional Electoral Council is greatly requested. While remaining at your disposal for any expertise relating to this matter and in the hope that a favorable follow-up will be given to this approach which accords with republican values".
