Haiti - Coup : The National Association of Magistrates demands the release of Judge Dabresil

Judge Jean Wilner Morin, President of the National Association of Haitian Magistrates (ANAMAH) on behalf of the National Directory, said to be informed of the kidnapping of the Honorable Judge Dabresil [HL arrested Sunday in the attempted coup https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32966-haiti-flash-coup-foiled-all-official-details.html ] "ANAMAH calls on the Magistrates of the eighteen jurisdictions of the Republic to a work stoppage from the publication of this in order to protest against the infamy made to the Haitian judiciary."

It demands "from the kidnappers" [the PNH!] of Judge Yviquel DABRÉSIL his immediate and unconditional release. Apart from this, there is no other alternative to resuming judicial work in Haiti.

Only cases relating to individual freedom will be taken into account during the period of the judgment. "

Moreover, he deplores the fact that heavily armed men, in costume and in uniform engage in harassment and intimidation against members of the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ), Magistrates of the Court of Cassation in particular, Yviquel Dabrésil, Wendelle Coq and other magistrates such as Jean Wilner Morin, Durin Duret Junior and Noé Pierre Louis Massillon.

"ANAMAH appeals to Magistrates of all rank, rank and quality to stand ready to defend the integrity of the judiciary, its esprit de corps and its independence."
