Haiti - News : Zapping...
After 40 days of blackout, electricity service is finally restored to Arcahaie and Cabaret after the installation of the new group with a capacity of 1.8 MW. Very soon, a second group will be installed at the Arcahaie power station, which will then have a total capacity of 3.6 MW.
Peaceful march against the dictatorship
The Protestant Commission against the Dictatorship in Haiti calls on all Haitians, Christians or ordinary citizens to hold a large peaceful march which will be organized on Sunday February 28, 2021 throughout the national territory with the support of the the "N ap Mache Pou Lavi" initiative which brings together human rights organizations, civil society, trade unions, personalities and the Bar Associations of Haiti.
Construction of 52 km of high voltage line
Construction work on the 115 kV (52 km) high voltage line connecting Arcahaie and Delmas began two months ago. This line will transport more than 400 MW in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.
Sport : Futsal championship
Haitian Ambassador to Canada Weibert Arthus hosted members of the Haitian futsal team, including Alain Grégoire, Jean Pénel Germain and Faustin Philostin. They will represent the country at the Concacaf playoff championship in May 2021. These young Haitians, many of whom are playing in Canada, dream of flying the Haitian flag at the next FIFA Futsal World Cup which will take place in Lithuania on September 12 until October 4, 2021.
School canteen : New coordinator
Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education, installed Ms. Djina Guillet-Delatour as the new coordinator of the National School Canteens Program (PNCS). She replaces Ms. Phanèse Laguerre in this position, who led the Program for 4 years and whose the Minister Cadet praise her dynamism.
