Haiti - News : Zapping...
The angry people of Second Plain
Thursday April 29 at around 6:00 p.m. the inhabitants of the Second Plain of Petit Goave set fire to a trailer truck coming from the South. The demonstrators are more and more angry because for more than 3 days, they have been without news of Wilkenn Dicette kidnapped on Sunday April 25 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33588-icihaiti-petit-goavethe-rn2-blocked-passengers-from-the-south-launch-an-sos.html . Very threatening, the citizens of this zone ask the drivers to avoid the national road #2 at the level of Second plain. In addition, we learned that a 7-year-old boy was shot and wounded in the courtyard of his house in Second Plain during an intervention by agents of the Departmental Unit of Maintenance of Order (UDMO). Haitian cocoa noticed internationally
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) is proud of its continued partnership with Produits des Îles SA (PISA) to develop the production and export of cocoa in the northern region, thus creating more opportunities for local farmers. PISA's Cocoa and Vanilla project https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32152-haiti-agriculture-usaid-joins-the-launch-of-the-pisa-cocoa-and-vanilla-project.html helps 900 farmers become more profitable by introducing new and improved production techniques and giving them access to high value-added export markets while introducing vanilla as a companion crop. Thanks to the generosity of the American people, USAID is actively working to create demand for Haitian cocoa and vanilla specialties in the international market.

PNH : Misused emergency numbers
The PNH reminds everyone that the numbers 122 / 3838-1111 and 3839-1111 are always available 24/24, 7/7 to serve the population. However, out of around 2,000 calls received from users by the Information and Operations Center (CRO) only 5 (0.025%) are urgent or important. The PNH asks to use these numbers only when there is a real need to be a good employee and a good citizen.
