Haiti - Scandal : FIFA heavily sanctions Nella Joseph, supervisor of the women's team

The decision-making body of the Independent Ethics Commission (located in Geneva) ruled that Nella Joseph https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31595-haiti-flash-fifa-extends-the-suspension-of-the-president-of-the-fhf-by-90-days.html , supervisor of the U-20 women's team of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) is guilty of not having protected the physical and mental integrity of several footballers who resided at the Center of La Croix-des-Bouquets (Haiti), under the responsibility and authority of Ms. Joseph. More precisely, these players were threatened and forced to have sexual relations with Mr. Yves Jean-Bart (former President of the FHF, banned for life) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32340-haiti-flash-yves-jean-bart-banned-for-life-from-football-by-fifa.html which constitutes a violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics.

This decision is linked to an in-depth investigation of Jean-Bart and other officials of the FHF, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33539-haiti-fifa-justice-assistant-coach-yvette-felix-banned-from-practicing-for-5-years.html who would have been involved, as perpetrators, accomplices or instigators, in sexual abuse of players, including minors, committed systematically between 2014 and 2020. The procedures concerning the other officers of the FHF remain pending resolution.

The decision-making body considers that Ms Joseph violated Article 23 (Protection of physical and mental integrity) of the FIFA Code of Ethics and imposed a ten-year ban on participating in activities related to the FIFA. football (administrative, sports or other) at national and international levels. He is also fined 20,000 CHF (± $ USD 22,000)
