Haiti - COVID-19 : Important meeting on the health emergency at Toussaint Louverture airport 09/06/2021 10:25:43
On the agenda : strengthening health measures within airports (such as wearing a mask, social distancing and disinfection of the premises). It was agreed on a greater presence of agents from the Ministry of Health in the departure and arrival areas as well as more rigorous control of the Covid tests presented by passengers at the airline counters, in order to resolve the problems caused by false negative tests presented by certain passengers. In addition, airline operators suggest the acceleration of the unique format of test results or the presence of a "bar code" mentioned by the Ministry of Health that could possibly allow the constitution of a database and a monitoring of positive coronavirus cases identified from laboratories. This virtual meeting was attended by representatives of the MSPP, Dr Katilla Pierre, OFNAC, AAN and all airlines operating in Haiti. Remember that this "task force" is made up of Mrs. Myriam Jean, Minister of Tourism, Guy François Junior, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Citizenship and Patriotism and Louis Gonzague Edner Day, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad.
