Towards the resumption of sports activities
Petricks JUSTIN the Minister of Youth and Sports held a working session last week with the Technical Directors, Unit Coordinators, Heads of Sports Centers and Parks in the metropolitan area. It was about : the resumption of sports activities in the said centers during the summer holidays and the measures to be taken to enforce the barrier measures adopted to fight against the spread of the Coronavirus. The submission of the activity resumption plan in the Centers was also discussed during this meeting.

Construction work on the power line connecting Château and Roseaux (Grand'Anse) has started. Installation of electric poles to cross the Voldrogue river.
PNH : delivery of police vehicles
Friday, July 30, the Divisional Commissioner Desmangle Wesmannle Departmental Director of the North-East, proceeded to the delivery of the keys of the police vehicles intended respectively for the police stations of Trou du Nord and Grand Bassin, in order to better protect and serve the population. This initiative by the late President Jovenel Moïse is a way of honoring his wishes to better equip certain police stations in order to meet the various security needs of the population in remote areas.
DR : Protest for the construction of a fence at the border
Although more than 80% of the Dominican population approves the construction of a double fence along the border with Haiti, social and popular organizations in Santiago have protested against this construction project on the border. The representatives of these groups also carried out a caravan of solidarity with Haiti, simultaneously towards the border of Jimaní and Dajabón.
