Nearly a hundred disabled people displaced by the arson of the Lapiste camp in Delmas 2 on June 17 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-34147-icihaiti-social-the-disabled-victims-of-the-arson-at-the-lapiste-camp-supported.html who were temporarily accommodated at the municipal school of Pétion-ville (Delmas 103), must vacate the premises due to the start of the school year scheduled for September 6, 2021.
Soinette Désir, Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities, as part of the process with public and private institutions to relocate people with disabilities who are at the Municipal School of Pétion-ville, announces that the Communale administration of Pétion-ville intends to provide it with a house in the private domain of the State in order to temporarily house some of these victims of gang violence.
Secretary Désir added that administrative and legal procedures are underway to find a solution to the situation of these people with special needs.
