Haiti - Politic : The Commission prepares its report on the Prime Minister-designate

The Senate commission responsible for analyzing the pieces of the Prime Minister-designate, Me Bernard Gousse begins today the preparation of the draft of its report "Unless serious problems, the report should be submitted by next week to the Upper House" said Senator Jean William Jeanty.

Once the report delivered to the office of Senate, the Assembly will have to pronounce on the conclusions and recommendations of the Commission. But, the Senate majority [G16] continues to state, each day that passes, that its vote will be unfavorable to the former Minister of Justice.

The Senator Evallière Beauplan said that the President makes waste the time of everyone... "He prefers to see his Prime Minister rejected, rather than immediately designate a new [that will make consensus]..." Recalling that the 16 senators againt, had made understand clearly to Me Gousse last week, [at the Karibe Convention Center], that he had no chance to be ratified ... The senator asks the population to realize that it is the Head of State who is responsible of the situation and the absence of a Government...

Fednel Monchery General Coordinator of the Presidential platform "Repons Peyizan" urged the parliamentarians to agree with the the Head of State to facilitate the ratification of the Prime Minister-designate and the installation of a new government "...2 months later, we can not leave the country in a situation in which it is now, because in a few days, the school will open. There must have a Head of State who is assisted by a Prime Minister, [...] to help it to implement its program. [...] We urge parliamentarians to play their role, as parliamentarians [...] they must make their choice for the country out of its current situation..."
