Haiti - Politic : The PM dialogues with representatives of the radical opposition of the SDP 10/09/2021 09:34:41 The objective of these exchanges constitutes, for the Head of Government, a means to help smooth out disagreements and find the best formula to learn to trust each other and act together in order to mend the social fabric. SDP representatives say they are aware of the chaotic situation plaguing the country. The Prime Minister remains convinced that no way out can be considered if all sectors do not agree to find an understanding, an agreement, with a view to achieving peaceful governance, the consequences of which will facilitate the establishment of a credible Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), to ensure and guarantee the security of citizens throughout the national territory and to quickly proceed to the holding of honest, inclusive and democratic elections for the renewal of political personnel and the implementation of march of all republican institutions. These exchanges enabled Ariel Henry to learn about all the grievances, concerns and expectations of the representatives of the SDP, their vision and their perception of the Government, but also and above all the possibility and the need to create a synergy between all sectors. As a result, the Head of Government believes that it becomes extremely important, even urgent, to finalize the process related to the signing of the Agreement for the Reorganization and Restructuring of the State. For his part, the former Nippes senator Nènel Cassy, one of the leaders of the radical opposition, does not rule out the possibility of collaborating with Ariel Henry through his next government, provided that popular demands are the priorities of the Government and that there is a new Government with new ministers. He recalled that there are no legal provisions to resolve the current crisis and that a political agreement is essential, adding that so far the SDP has not yet signed the agreement. HL/ HaitiLibre
