Border closed at Carrizal post
On Wednesday the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CesFront) closed the door of the Carrizal border post (Elías Piña) and reinforced security after noting the presence of individuals carrying heavy weapons on the Haitian side.

Uzra Zeya wishes the renewal of the mandate of BINUH

Haitian diplomacy
On Wednesday October 13, the Haitian Ambassador to France Josué Dahomey received a visit from Senator Bruno Belin, member of the Commission for Regional Planning and Sustainable Development of the French Senate. The two men discussed cooperation projects in the fields of education, health and the environment.

Covid : UNDP donation for penitentiaries
To support the response to Covid-19 in detention centers, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti) donated health materials to the Directorate of Prison Administration (DAP) with the financial contribution of the Canadian Embassy in Haiti.

Training on the management of criminal cases
The School of Magistracy supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and "UN Peace building", has started a series of joint police-justice training for the benefit of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the Ministry of Justice, on the management of criminal cases with a view to improving the fight against prolonged preventive detention.
