Haiti - FLASH : For lack of fuel, media reduce their diffusion or stop broadcasting (partial report)
Jacques Sampeur President of the National Association of Haitian Media (ANMH) is sounding the alarm faced the persistence of the fuel shortage which has prompted several media to reduce their broadcasting time while others have been forced to stop to emit for lack of fuel. He urges the authorities to assum their responsibilities and act without delay in order to restore the situation as quickly as possible.

Radio Télévision Caraïbes :
Monday, November 8, Radio Télévision Caraïbes ceased its broadcasts due to lack of fuel, in the midst of a shortage crisis that affects the whole country. Listeners who attempted to tune into the station on Monday saw constant noise, a situation similar to television, which had to shut down its broadcasts.

Radio Télé Métropole :
Radio Télé Métropole announces a significant reduction in its programming following the persistence of the fuel crisis in the country. The station's transmitter will be on from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and resume from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and the station will be closed on Sundays. The management of Radio Télé Métropole does not rule out the possibility of reducing its programming much more if the fuel shortage persists.

Le Nouvelliste :
The management of the daily Le Nouvelliste informs its subscribers and advertisers that to cope with the fuel shortage, from Monday, November 8, 2021, the paper version of the newspaper Le Nouvelliste will only be available three times a week. The administration of the newspaper operates three days a week until further notice : Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

RFI :
Due to lack of fuel, Radio France International (RFI) is forced until further notice to shut down its transmitter in Port-au-Prince, Boutillier between 11:30 p.m. and 5:15 a.m. local time.

Radio Télé Lumière :/B>
Due to the fuel crisis, Radio Télé Lumière is no longer able to adequately support its listeners and Internet users. Unfortunately, all the steps taken did not allow the logistics and the technical team to operate the generators on the various sites. The management expresses its regrets and apologies to all those affected by this situation not only in Haiti but also abroad. Let us pray that a quick solution can be found for the return to normalcy on the airwaves of Radio Télé Lumière. May the Lord be gracious to Haiti!

Radio Télé Scoop :
The General Management of Radio Télé Scoop advises that due to the persistent fuel crisis it is forced to temporarily shut down the television. However, it is deploying gigantic efforts to keep the radio on the air through the program "Haiti-debate" 2:00 - 4:00 am pending the resolution of this crisis.
