USAID help hospitals in the South

Due to fuel shortages, supply chain issues and malfunctioning equipment, healthcare facilities across Haiti did not have enough oxygen to treat their patients. Through EpiC, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) purchased and imported an entire reservoir of liquid oxygen, which contained enough oxygen to fill nearly 1,700 cylinders. Thanks to USAID, hospitals in the South, South-East and West departments are once again able to provide their patients with the oxygen they need.

Sad reality

According to UNICEF Haiti, 77% of households do not have adequate hand washing facilities. 65% of households do not have improved sanitation facilities.
