Epidemiological situation: On Saturday January 8, 2022, the number of people worldwide infected with the Covid-19 coronavirus and its variants since the start of the pandemic amounts to 303,931,140 cases (+2,994,099 in 24 hours), the day before ( +2,601,097). Number of contaminated countries: 221 * Healings: 258,380,260 people were cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+738,671 in 24 hours), the day before (+758,128) * Deaths: 5,498,982 people died from Covid-19 worldwide (+7,533 in 24 hours), the day before (+8,725) * Active cases (less deaths and recoveries) in the world is currently 40,051,898 cases (+2,247,895 in 24 hours), the day before (+1,834,244) Average cure rate in the world: 85.01% (-) Average death rate in the world: 1.80% (-) World: Number of daily confirmed cases:  Vaccination: 9.4 billion doses of vaccine injected (+30 million doses injected in 24 hours. HAITI: Epidemiological situation: According to the Ministry of Public Health, +103 new cases in 24 hours of Covid-19 and its variants were confirmed in Haiti on January 5, 2022 (latest partial data available ) for a total of 26,509 cases confirmed throughout the national territory (47.6% women and 52.4% men), since the first case (March 19, 2020 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30319-haiti-health-origin-of-the-first-2-cases-of-covid-19-in-haiti.html).
