Epidemiological situation: Sunday, January 9, 2022, the number of people worldwide infected with the Covid-19 coronavirus and its variants since the start of the pandemic (March 11, 2020) amounted to 306,122,920 cases (+2,191,780 in 24 hours ), the day before (+2,994,099). Number of contaminated countries: 221 * Healings: 259,013,899 people were cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+633,639 in 24 hours), the day before (+738,671) * Deaths: 5,503,653 people died from Covid-19 around the world (+4,671 in 24 hours), the day before (+7,533) * Active cases (less deaths and recoveries) in the world is currently 41,602,043 cases (+1,550,145 in 24 hours), the day before (+2,247,895) Average cure rate in the world: 84.61% (-) Average death rate in the world: 1.79% (-) World: Number of daily confirmed cases:  Vaccination: 9.42 billion doses of vaccine injected (+20 million doses injected in 24 hours. HAITI: Epidemiological situation: Warning : The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) did not make available daily data on the Covid-19 situation in Haiti after January 5, 2022. Accordingly, the data below on the situation in Haiti is the latest available. According to the Ministry of Public Health, +103 new cases in 24 hours of Covid-19 and its variants were confirmed in Haiti on January 5, 2022 (latest partial data available ) for a total of 26,509 cases confirmed throughout the national territory (47.6% women and 52.4% men), since the first case (March 19, 2020 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30319-haiti-health-origin-of-the-first-2-cases-of-covid-19-in-haiti.html).
