On Wednesday, at Croix-des-Bouquets, unidentified armed individuals opened fire on a vehicle in which was Police Commissioner Jean Ismay Auguste, his wife Clotilde Vilus and their 10-year-old daughter. The Commissioner and his wife were killed and their daughter seriously injured.
Lawyer shot dead at the wheel of his car
Thursday, Fritz Alténord, lawyer at the bar of Croix-des-Bouquets, was shot dead while driving his car, by armed individuals traveling on a motorcycle, at Christophe Avenue (Port-au-Prince) near the main entrance of the INAGUEI.
Robbery : 1 dead, 2 arrested
Thursday, January 20 in the early morning, armed individuals traveling on motorcycles attacked three people in Saint-Marc. One of the victims (Bernard Naïme, 34) died on the spot of his injuries. The rapid intervention of the police led to the arrest of Dort Samuel and Jude Castin, two of the robbers identified by the victims.
