Haiti - FLASH : The sub-police stations of Bon-Repos and Cesselesse attacked by armed men

Monday, January 31 Frantz Elbé, the Director General ai of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) went to the sub-police stations of Bon-Repos and Cesselesse a few hours after the attack by a group of heavily armed individuals who fired at officers who were on duty on the night of Sunday January 30 to Monday January 31, 2022.

During this attack, Joseph Dioc Blada (Agent 1) was killed and Sauveur Shmy (Agent 1) was seriously injured and rushed to a hospital.

This attack is in retaliation for police operations carried out in recent days against gangs operating in neighborhoods of the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets where several members of these criminal networks were arrested while others were killed in exchanges of fire with the police.

While presenting words of sympathy to the family and brothers in arms of police officer Joseph Dioc Blada killed in service, Frantz Elbé gave formal instructions to investigators from the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) with a view to raising clues that can put them on the trail of the authors and co-authors of this attack and apprehend them.

Frantz Elbé also visited the same day the Radio Télé Zénith team, whose premises, located a few meters from the Bon-Repos sub-police station, were also the target of these armed individuals.
