Haiti - Politic : Senator Lambert asks the CSC/CA to monitor the expenses of the PM
Joseph Lambert, President of the Senate, in a correspondence addressed to Fritz Robert Saint Paul President of the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA) of which we have obtained a copy, recalls that the Senate noted on February 7, 2022 "the end of the services of Prime Minister Ariel Henry and that as of this day he liquidates current affairs".

Consequently, Senator Lambert asks the CSC/CA to bring "[...] extreme vigilance for a meticulous control of the funds of the State [...]"

Letter from Senator Lambert to CSC/CA :

"Monsieur Fritz Robert Saint Paul
President of the Superior Court of Auditors
and Administrative Litigation
in his offices.

Mr. President,

The Office of the Senate of the Republic, strong in its responsibilities assumed in this Haitian situation marked by institutional infirmity, hastens to keep you informed of the parliamentary work which noted the end of the services of Prime Minister Ariel Henry who, from February 7, 2022, liquidates day-to-day business.

You will be pleased to consider this denunciation in its formal and legal aspects to appreciate the new status of the Prime Minister in his now limited prerogatives and to instruct the competent services of the CSC/CA who will commit themselves to extreme vigilance for a control carefully with State funds.

Convinced of the positive follow-up you will have given to this letter, the Bureau asks you to accept, Mr. President, the assurance of its perfect consideration.

Joseph Lambert
President of the Senate”
