Haiti - Security : Graduation of the 7th cohort of UDMO police officers of Artibonite
Friday, February 11, 2022 in Morne-Casse, Fort-Liberté (Dept. Northeast) in the presence of Frantz Elbé Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Chief Inspector General, Fritz Saint-Fort , the Departmental Director of Artibonite the Divisional Commissioner Ralph Dominique and international partners including representatives of the INL of the Embassy of the United States took place the graduation ceremony of the 7th cohort of police officers who have undergone technical training of one month as part of the process of merging the Departmental Units for the Maintenance of Order (UDMO) and the Corps of Intervention and Maintenance of Order (CIMO)

This new cohort made up of 48 agents of the UDMO of Artibonite, including 5 women, received their certificate from the hands of the senior officers of the PNH.

According to Frantz Elbé, this initiative is part of the standardization of the training of law enforcement units, which should allow a better harmonization of the actions of these agents in the field. He took the opportunity to salute the financial and technical support of international partners in strengthening the operational capacity of the PNH and promised to provide these 48 agents with adequate and additional equipment to enable them to effectively accomplish their mission.



"Congrats to the 7th UDMO/CIMO class sponsored by U.S. Department of State. Bureau of Intl Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL) will continue to invest in the @pnh_officiel, including UDMO and CIMO, in the form of crowd control equipment and logistical support," said the US Embassy in Haiti.
