Haiti - Politic : The Governance of the Spotlight Program in Haiti is strengthening 14/02/2022 10:15:44 Recall that the "Spotlight Initiative" Program, co-chaired by the Minister of Planning and the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Haiti, is a global partnership between the United Nations and the European Union aimed at eliminating all forms of violence against girls and women intends to reach more than one million women and men across 51 municipalities in the West, South, Grand-Anse and North-East departments from 2021 to 2023. To achieve its objectives, the Program has set up a group of 11 specialists and activists on issues relating to gender violence. At the World Civil Society Reference Group, Mrs. Eunide Innocent, Former Minister for the Status of Women and Director of the Platform for Haitian Women's Organizations for Development (POFHAD) was elected, while Mrs. Myriam Narcisse Director of "Haitian Adolescent Girl Network” (HAGN) and was elected to represent the Group at the Regional level. At the same time, 2 other members were elected : Me. Stanley Augustin, Secretary General of the Haitian Youth Observatory and Me. Aline Nathalie Wakam, Mediator and member of several women's organizations to represent, alongside President Nadine Louis, the GRSC on the Program Steering Committee This Steering Committee also includes representatives of the Ministry for the Status of Women, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the European Union, UN Women, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), UNICEF and UNDP.
