This Wednesday, February 16, 2022, as part of the Beijing 2022 Olympics, Richardson Viano (19) the first Haitian skier in the history of the Winter Olympics (35th in the world in slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35688-haiti-jo-beijing-2022-d-24-the-skier-richardson-viano-will-defend-the-colors-of-haiti.html took part in the event "Slalom men" at the Yanqing National Alpine Skiing Center-Technical.

Richardson finished 34th out of 45 with a time of 1:59.99, 15.90 seconds ahead of the gold medalist (1:44.09).

Gold was won by Frenchman Clément Noël (1:44.09), silver by Austrian Johannes Strolz (1:44.70) and bronze by Norwegian Sebastian Foss-Solevaa.
