Haiti - Education : The Ministry sanctions a Teacher Director of a school

Following several meetings organized around the file of Jean Karl Albert Bellerice, Teacher, Director and Founder of the school "Institution Bellerice Castera" and the reports already submitted by the Commission of Inquiry, the Ministry of National Education and Professional Training (MENFP), after evaluation, adopted the following measures:

1. Withdrawal of the teaching and directing license of Jean Karl Albert Bellerice, author of obscene and degrading remarks in the middle of class and for having inflicted inhuman treatment on students in his school;

2. The Provisional School Management Committee, set up by the MENFP, will continue its support work with teachers and parents, in particular for the closing of the academic year and the follow-up of the files of candidates for examinations. state;

3. Jean Karl Albert Bellerice, Founder of the school has two weeks to submit the file of an educator to run the establishment, after approval by the Ministry;

4. The Founder must also submit complete and updated school and faculty records for school license renewal reassessment;

5. Psychological support for student victims and school staff through the Ministry's Commission for Social Support and School Adaptation (CASAS).
