Haiti - Politic : What is the goal of G16...?
Marginalized by the Head of State, in the negotiation process for the designation of the next Prime Minister, the G16 presented Friday, two days after the meeting with the U.S diplomats, a plan "of government" which expresses more their frustration that it provides solutions or new ideas. A communication operation in order to put them back into the media spotlight fault of being on that of the policy, in the power struggle between them and the head of government or a way to retake the initiative of the offensive...

From the start, the G16 sets the tone for "The equation is clear, and without unknown the President of the Republic was elected by a comfortable majority of voters but does not have a parliamentary majority. It is therefore imperative to open dialogue between the Executive and the Legislature in order to install a Prime Minister based on a functional majority, that he must build in order to ensure the stability and the effectiveness of his government."

Main responsible for the rejection of the second Prime Minister-designate, Me Bernard Gousse, the G16 declares "It is childish to blame one or the other political actors the responsibility of this situation. The policy of scapegoat only delays the achievement of electoral promises..."

While nearly three weeks, the G16 continues to urge the President Martelly to designate he next Prime Minister, the G16 is now saying "It would be inappropriate at this time to launch one or more names of candidates for the Prime Minister position, without a prior effort to open the way of success. A sincere desire to install a government should push the players to sit peacefully for a positive and successful dialogue..."

The Senator Évallière Beauplan regrets that the Head of State refused to meet them. "25 days after the rejection of the choice of Bernard Gousse, the president has never had a meeting with us, but, we are the majority. His Prime Minister designate will not pass the Senate step without a majority Accusing the Head of State, to spend most of his time in the "useless gesticulations".

Remarks all the more surprising that the Senators continue to brandish the Constitution to remind to the Head of State, that he must dialogue with the Presidents of both Houses and not with the parliamentarians for the designation of the next candidate for Prime Minister.

Echoing the previous statements, the G16 comes back again on the ideal profile of the next Chief of government and affirms the urgent need for an inclusive dialogue without discrimination mphasizing on the obligation to reach a compromise on a reasonable sharing of responsibilities.

The G16 promotes national dialogue [!] "The President of Haiti should take the levers of this salutary operation and sound vigorously the rallying behind such a project that would have the power to empty the contentious social and political, to calm the acrimony and renew the links of want to live together which is the cement of a nation, in its sociological, sentimental and emotional definition"

The Senators Wencesclass Lambert, Evallière Beauplan and Simon Dieuseul Desras, less subtle, require of the Presidency, the establishment of a dialogue.

Echoing the recent statements of the Civil Society https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3664-haiti-politic-criticisms-and-concerns-of-the-civil-society.html The G16 claims the publication of the amendment of the Constitution, the formation of a Permanent Electoral Council, the renewal of the IHRC conditional to the departure of the Minsutah...

On the economic plan between inflation and food security we find the absence of Finance Bill for fiscal year 2011-2012, this situation can only lead to the renewal of the Finance Act of the 2009-2010 fiscal year... deplores the G16.

As for the social aspect, between recommendations, and requirements, it's almost a general policy statement... the list is endless : building tens of thousands of homes, emptying the camps and provide decent housing to the displaced, agricultural infrastructure redevelopment, subsidizing the agricultural inputs, fight against cholera, build roads and hospitals or grant a 14th month to the , employees of the Public Service... It missing only a few raccoons to make the "inventory" of Jacques Prévert...

A plan, whose the application determines the ratification process of the new Prime Mminister, nothing more, nothing less... seems to say between the lines the G16, who in this approach, out of its role and takes in this report... that of a Prime Minister...
