Haiti - Politic : The President Martelly met Joseph Lambert in private 27/08/2011 18:24:54
"...Yesterday I had a meeting with President Martelly, the meeting lasted over four hours, the atmosphere was decent, cordial, very friendly, we were only two to discuss calmly to his office. We mainly talked about the need to develop a functional and sustainable Government as soon as possible. We looked at the steps, and we first saw the necessity of having a majority, that I might call 'functional majority', a sustainable majority to allow the establishment of a government functional and durable. [...] the President Martelly spoke frankly with me, he emphasized that it is us who are elected, we must work together and agree on the bare minimum. It is us who must ensure that the country can benefit from the fallout of this collective work [...] For important reasons, given that I have not yet finished to communicate with all my fellow Senators, all the elements of the meeting with the President Martelly, I have chosen for the moment not to disclose certain details. One thing is certain, the President Martelly believes there are steps we must take/cross, which are primarily a functional majority, I also think the same thing. After that, we believe that we must sit down and that we could call the Prime Minister.
