Haiti - Tourism : Site visits of reception infrastructures
As part of the Integrated Region Project for Tourism Development in the South (RIAT-SUD) launched by the Ministry of Tourism in 2015 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15031-haiti-tourism-30-tourist-projects-will-start-on-the-south-coast.html , financed by the IDB and executed jointly with the Technical Execution Unit of the Ministry of Finance, the Minister, L. K. Cassandra François at the head of a delegation continued the site visits of reception facilities started in September 2021.

Port-à-Piment :
Renovation of the reception kiosk and the access road to the Grotte Marie-Jeanne, including the construction of a rest area for visitors and for the community.

Port-Salut :
Rehabilitation work on the access staircase leading to Cascade Touyac in Port-Salut. The facilities also include a toilet block, showers and a laundry area upstream for the neighboring population while respecting the ecosystem (Scheduled for September 2022)

Aquin :
Renovation work started in 2017 on the square which will be finalized next September.

Fort Saint-Joseph of Cap-Haitien :
On August 6, the reopening of Fort Saint-Joseph in Cap-Haitien took place in the presence of high dignitaries of the city, including the deputy mayor, Mr. Patrick Almonor and various actors from civil society.

Let's recall that the restoration of Fort Saint Joseph, located 77 meters south of Fort Picolet is the result of a partnership between the private sector of Cap-Haitien, in particular the Fatima Group, the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (ISPAN) , the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien and the North Departmental Direction of the Ministry of Tourism.
