Haiti - Justice : The PM brought together all the Commissioners of the Government
Monday, September 5, 2022, the Prime Minister a.i., Dr Ariel Henry, held a working session with the Government Commissioners and their substitutes from the 18 jurisdictions of the country in order to discuss several questions of national interest and the measures to be taken in the limits of the law to curb certain abuses observed in the judicial system.

The Head of Government insisted on the imperative and the urgency to fight the illegal fuel trade and those who make the black market.

Ariel Henry took the opportunity to issue a warning against all suspicious releases of notorious criminals.

On the menu of the discussions there was also question of rigor in the management of land conflicts; the fight against prolonged pre-trial detention; the improvement of the conditions of detention of prisoners and the fight against the corruption which plagues the judicial system.

This meeting was an opportunity to discuss various concerns of prosecutors regarding their safety and the means they need to properly carry out their mission.
