Haiti - Politic : The Official Bureau of former PM Claude Joseph reacts strongly to the Dominican decision

If the personal reaction of former Prime Minister a.i. Claude Joseph who says he received President Abinader's decision to ban him from entering Dominican territory https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37591-haiti-flash-former-pm-claude-joseph-and-12-gang-leaders-banned-from-entering-the-dominican-republic.html not as a sanction but as an honor https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37598-haiti-news-zapping.html , the reaction in a statement [#006] dated September 8 from his official Bureau is much more measured and more critical…

Excerpt from press release :

"The Bureau of Former Prime Minister Claude Joseph learns with astonishment of the scandalous decision of President Luis Abinader to arbitrarily prohibit the entry into the Dominican Republic of Doctor Claude Joseph, former Head of Government and former Minister of Foreign Foreigners of the Republic of Haiti.

While denouncing and disapproving this decision falling within the framework of a primary anti-Haitianism carried by Mr. Luis Abinader, the Bureau is particularly incensed against the political, senseless and inadmissible amalgam fed by the Dominican President against of the Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Haiti.

[...] In addition, the Bureau considers this decision taken against the former Haitian Chancellor as a malicious attempt on the part of Mr. Abinader to attack the honor of the former Prime Minister and to intimidate him in its fight for respect for the sovereignty of Haiti and the dignity of fellow Haitians living in the Dominican Republic [...]"

Concluding "[...] Convinced that this decision concerning the former Chancellor Claude Joseph engages only Mr. Abinader, the Bureau reaffirms the commitment of the Former Chancellor to the preservation of relations of friendship, respect and cooperation between the Republic of Haiti and the Dominican Republic."
