Former Senator Joseph front the American courts

His attorney also requested a jury trial. He risks life in prison if he is found guilty of the charges against him : having rented four vehicles which were used by the Colombian commandos on the night of the attack. He is charged with conspiracy to commit murder or kidnapping outside the United States and with providing material support leading to the death of Jovenel Moïse.

The lives of 30,000 pregnant women at risk

The United Nations draws attention to the plight of pregnant women in Haiti due to the blockage of fuel. According to the UN, 30,000 pregnant women are at risk because of this situation.

24 classrooms built and all equipped

Thanks to funding from the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), UNICEF has built 24 classrooms in the national schools of Miserne, Fonds-Palmiste, Lougou and Briyer affected by the earthquake of August 14 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34479-haiti-flash-magnitude-72-earthquake-in-the-nippes.html . In addition, 600 bench tables, 24 blackboards, 24 desks and 28 teachers' chairs were distributed to these schools. In total, 1,200 school students will be able to return to school, and learn in adequate conditions.

Social Assistance

21 metric tons of dry rations were distributed from October 3 to 16, to 3,000 vulnerable people in Cité Soleil, informs the World Food Program (WFP). 2,580 children received food/nutrients (plumpy'nut to combat malnutrition). 17,600 hot meals were distributed in the city, including in the Cholera Treatment Centers (CTC).
