Situation and progression of cholera in Haiti as of October 17, 2022 according to data from the Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research of the Ministry of Public Health (latest data available) :

October 16: (First confirmed case October 2, 2022)
Total suspected cases since October 2 (including the national penitentiary): 996 cases + 13.5% in 24 hours (previous: 877 suspected cases)
Anyone with acute watery, profuse diarrhea with or without vomiting and dehydration

Total confirmed cases since October 2 (including the national penitentiary): 111 cases +42% in 48 hours (previous: 78 confirmed cases since October 2)
Any suspect or probable case with a positive culture for “Vibrio cholerae”

Total suspected cases currently hospitalized: 248 cases (not updated, previous: 248 hospitalized)

Total institutional deaths since October 2 (including the national penitentiary): 35 deaths +2.9% in 24 hours (previous: 34 deaths)
