Contrary to the statements of Deputy Alexis Tolbert, President of the Parliamentary Group for Renewal (GPR) of the lower house, which suggested that the GPR would be ready to give a vote in favor of Prime Minister-designate, or that of Deputy Deputy Pierre Martin Tatoute, Bassin-Bleu (INITE), which declared Tuesday "The GPR will vote Dr. Garry", the Deputy Joseph Wilbert Deshomme, member of the GPR, asserted that the vote of the block, is not until now acquired, for the candidate for the Prime Minister's Office.

The Senator Mélius Hyppolite [Organisation du peuple en Lutte (OPL)] stated that the OPL had met in view of reaching a common position. It emerged from this meeting that members of the OPL will vote for Dr. Conille if his documents are constitutionally compliant... He also denied a meeting Tuesday between the President Michel Martelly and the new functional majority to the lower house, to which he belongs.

In the Senate, the President Rodolphe Joazile, estimates to 50% the chance of Garry Conille to form the next government, saying that "The doors are still open and negotiations are still possible", inviting the candidate for Prime Minister to do everything possible to reach a majority in the Senate.

The Deputy Abel Descolines (Mirebalais/Boucan Carré - LAVNI) has informed that "after the National Assembly where we said that we were the new majority [G59], we had a workday in a hotel of the capital to begin to structure the new majority. A directory has been put in place, it has the attribution and the mission of the majority of colleagues, we work on a set of themes and concerns related to the ratification of the Prime Minister." Adding that the G59 had not yet taken a position, he stressed "those who are part of this new majority, say they are favorable to the installation of a new government and if the Prime Minister-designate, meets the requirements of section 157 of the Constitution, they will ratify it... until of course, that the majority itself, take a common position.."

The Deputy Emmanuel Fritz Gerald Bourjolly (Aquin / INITE) agrees with this but said "I am part of vote of the majority, but I can not say that the vote of the block of 59 has already been acquired for Garry Conille... But he confirmed personally, that he will vote for Dr. Conille because "I know pertinently that the documents submitted by Garry Conille are consistent with the constitution..."
