Haiti - FLASH : Despite the closure of the consulates, Dominican visas continue to be available at a high price

Despite the closures on September 15, 2022, of the 5 Dominican consulates in Haiti as well as the Embassy in Port-au-Prince due to "the deterioration of the security situation in Haiti https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-37656-icihaiti-insecurity-the-dominican-republic-closes-its-embassy-and-consulates-in-haiti.html this measure has not prevented travel agencies in Haiti and the Dominican Republic from continuing to offer Dominican visas but at a high price.

Other agencies "Hugo Travel Agency", "Josh Agency and Services", "Croissance Multi Services" among others also continue to offer the Dominican visa on social networks.

Until the beginning of November, several travel agencies ensured that people who wanted to buy a Dominican visa obtained an appointment within one or two months, due to the shortage.

Should be noted that the last update of the access to information platform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic dates from September 2022 month when 5,196 visas were issued in Haiti. Since then no update has been made...
