Actress Nadine Pierre passed away

Sunday December 4, 2022, actress Nadine Pierre (39), died in the United States of cancer. Nadine Pierre marked the Haitian cinema, through her performances in several Haitian films, including "The choice of my life", "a la traka pou Baba" "Tourbillon" and "L'amour de Suzie" among others.

Grand’Anse : Fuel up to 1,700 Gourdes per gallon

Petroleum products continue to sell at high prices in Grand'Anse. Many service station owners have not placed orders because of the ransoms they have to pay to bandits on the delivery route. The gallon of gasoline currently sells for 1,500 Gourdes and diesel for 1,700 Gourdes, in Jérémie.

Jacmel : 9 prisoners dead

From November 29 to December 3, 2022, 9 prisoners died in Jacmel prison. The victims are among about 30 seriously ill prisoners, according to Jean Jeudi, the coordinator of the Macaya Society human rights organization. These prisoners suffered from severe dehydration, anemia and some signs of cholera.

Pétion-ville : New Chief Commissioner

The Principal Commissioner Aladin Jean Louis has been installed as the new Head of the Jurisdiction of Pétion-Ville, replacing the Principal Commissioner Exantus Kalerbe. Repentance, forgiveness and national reconciliation to resolve the crisis ?

On Friday, December 2nd, 2022, at the invitation of the National Council of Young Leaders, many sectors of national life gathered at the Caribe Convention Center in Juvénat, for an inclusive national dialogue on the obstacles to Haiti's progress and to propose solutions based primarily on repentance, forgiveness and national reconciliation. This dialogue was organized jointly with the Protestant Federation of Haiti, the Vision for Haiti and for the World, the Nazarene Theological Seminary of Haiti and the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti.
