Haiti - FLASH : More than 2,000 Haitians already approved in the new American migration program

On Friday, January 27, the CNN television network announced that under the new Biden administration's Humanitarian Parole Program launched on January 5, 2023, more than 7,500 migrants from Cuba , Nicaragua and Haiti have already been authorized to come to the United States (about 800 Nicaraguans, 2,000 Haitians and more than 4,700 Cubans).

A total of 1,700 migrants from these 3 countries have already arrived legally in the United States.

Let's recall that each month up to 30,000 migrants from Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba are allowed to enter the United States under this program. To do this, migrants must have a sponsor in the United States and submit to checks and verifications https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38566-haiti-flash-new-us-entry-program-for-haitian-migrants-conditions-and-steps-to-follow.html

Additionally, 20 US states (Texas, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming) led by the Republicans, oppose this new Program https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38700-haiti-new-migration-program-20-us-states-take-legal-action-against-the-dhs.html and filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to demand the termination of this program which it considers illegal. The judge has scheduled the hearing for April 2023.
