Haiti - Insecurity : «Belvil» resists the attacks of the «Kraze Baryè» gang 31/01/2023 09:59:55
Sunday evening the men of Vitel'homme attacked Belvil. The first attack occurred where the residents had placed containers serving as a barrier to protect themselves from the attacks and shootings of the gangs, but they could not break through this barrier, faced the resistance of the population, During another assault, they attacked the locality Bellevue bordering Belvil but they again failed... Refusing to admit defeat, the members of the Vitelhomme gang attacked a third time and succeeded in demolishing in the evening with heavy machinery part of the Belvil perimeter wall which overlooks the road leading to Torcel, but they were pushed back by a Belvil security team. All day Monday they fired to prevent the workers from rebuilding the portions of the demolished wall... Residents fear further attacks... S/ HaitiLibre
